Mosaic Cycles was established in Boulder, Colorado in 2009 by Aaron Barcheck, company founder and head builder. Even as an aspiring junior racer in St. Louis, Aaron envisioned building frames with uncommon performance characteristics. His first titanium frame, built at the United Bicycle Institute was the catalyst that propelled him into frame fabrication with Dean Titanium Bicycles. Six years at Dean brought Aaron to head builder and welder status as he completed a degree in integrative physiology from the nearby University of Colorado. In the process, his frames achieved industry and peer recognition for their precise fitting and artful welding.
Now, over 500 frames later, Aaron's passionate investment in frame building finds its form at Mosaic Cycles. As a master frame builder under his own badge, Aaron is free to focus all of his energy on each rider's vision of their ideal frame. Working across many mediums, he brings his craft of TIG welded and brazed construction to each frame he deliberately builds one at a time.
An obsession with performance. A belief that science and art should come together in a bicycle. A desire to build bikes that incorporate new materials and serve their owners for years to come.
This is, in the final analysis, is a story of pure convergence. One that reflects Aaron's long-held convictions, and sends every Mosaic Cycles owner down the road with an amazing cycling experience.
